North Star Vega

In 12,000 Years, Vega Will Be The North Star

"If you take power out of the hands of the people, you take the POWER out of the hands of the people." — Dee'elo Tonlin (Secret Keeper, Malock Station - Vega Year 580)

For two thousand years, the Secret Keepers of The Dalta Sector have been laying their groundwork. Five hundred years ago, Mater Tonlin's grandmother discovered the key — a genetic trait carried by a handful of family lines, the ones whose bodies can survive the heat of a recovering world.

Lyra, Hanzen, Mari and Jacks are descendants of that bit of genetic luck.

North Star Vega is a ten-book epic about what happens when two thousand years of patient planning finally meets the generation that can actually accomplish it — if the people who profit from keeping everyone underground will just get out of their way.

This is not a story about the end of the world — it's a story about the people who refused to let it end.

BOOK 5 - 'Red Foot Girl'

Synopsys:

Mio Tarova, a broken man poisoned and nearly killed by predators, stumbles into a bamboo grove to die alone—until a scout named Dala finds him, and a community chooses to save him. In the tent where they heal a traumatized child named Ru-Lee (who threw her own knife to save Mio's life), he takes an oath that binds him forever: "I owe you a life." What unfolds is not a rescue story but a reckoning—with grief, with community, with the choice to stay awake in a world most people sleep through. Mari's shadow falls across everything (absent but present, teaching through her people). Zeek arrives by accident and finally understands the stakes when he sees Ru-Lee's flayed back. Eber teaches leadership through silence and a wink. Lyra learns that being a leader means seeing when to follow. And Mio learns that the stone knife Ru-Lee threw—the act of a child who refused to harden her heart—was grace. The book is about people choosing connection despite terror, choosing tenderness despite trauma, choosing to notice the miracle of being alive together. It's about how broken people become whole not through salvation but through being witnessed and believed in by a community that refuses to let them die alone. It's the Mater Way made flesh: we survive by paying attention to each other.

Will I die mother?

I don’t want to die.

You will die. I will die. We all die. With grace if you have the courage. With the grace of love.

Will I die father?

I don’t want to die.

You will die. I will die. We all die. With grace if you have the courage. The grace to help others, even if it means having less. The grace of giving. The grace to understand our place in this world is fleeting, but our impact can be great.

Will I die sister?

I don’t want to die.

You will die. I will die. We all die. With grace if you have the courage. The grace to know that you don’t know. The grace to endure. The grace of a grateful heart.

Will I die brother?

I don’t want to die.

You will die. I will die. We all die. With grace if you have the courage. With the grace of love.
